screen-shot-2016-09-20-at-3-03-44-pmThe big day is just about here: HR Tech Conference 2016, Chicago! Sadly, the HROnboard team won’t be in attendance this year (we’re busy building a bunch of new features back in Melbourne), but don’t worry – we’re still watching the event closely!

Here’s 3 sessions that are set to be absolutely mind-blowing (and of course, they’re all in some way related to employee onboarding). If you’re attending, don’t miss them!

Tuesday 04 October, 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM

We love Hackathons (we just hosted our first hackathon at our new Ringwood office). If you’re a hacking newbie, a Hackathon is typically an event spanning 24-48 hours in which small teams get together to achieve a set goal (these could be technical, like developing a feature for software, or process related, like redesigning your onboarding process).

Seating is very limited, but if you want to find out how to apply hackathon-thinking to your HR team, this is the event to attend (technical expertise is definitely not a prerequisite)!

13ffbeaMega Session: Reinventing HR

A Radical New Approach to HR Technology and Solutions

Tuesday 4 October, 03:45 PM – 04:45 PM

Hosted by Josh Bersin, this session will help you come up with a bunch of innovative ways to use technology, consumer tech and your current HR tech to revolutionise your organisation.

Josh’s presentations are always enlightening, and I imagine this particular presentation will be one of the most talked about over the conference. Don’t miss out!

marriot-exteriorREC2: Leveraging Consumer-Marketing Trends to Build a World-Class Candidate & Employee Experience at Marriott International

Wednesday 05 October, 01:15 PM – 02:15 PM

Experience is everything when you’re in the hospitality industry – and not just for customers!

Presented by Senior Director of Employer Brand & Communications Jessica Lee, this session will be great if you’re looking for ways to improve your employer branding, attract better candidates or reduce employee turnover (all big ticks from us at HROnboard!).

There’s a really good guide to all the conference events over at HR Examiner if you’re not a fan of these topics.

Are any of our Australian and New Zealand customers heading over to the 19th HR Tech Conference? Let us know what you’re most excited to see in the comments!
